OLABISI AKANBI: A BEACON OF HOPE, HUMANITY, AND YOUTH TRANSFORMATION : A legacy that inspire generation
In a world where true leadership is measured by service, compassion, and impact, Olabisi Akanbi stands as a monumental example of what it means to live for a purpose greater than oneself. His life story reflects resilience, vision, and an unwavering commitment to the advancement of mankind—especially the empowerment of young people whose potentials are waiting to be unlocked.
Born in Epe and raised in the vibrant city of Lagos, Nigeria, Olabisi Akanbi grew up with values that would later define his journey: humility, perseverance, and a passion for learning. He is happily married to Mrs. Faith Chinenye Akanbi, and together they are blessed with three wonderful children.
Olabisi’s educational journey began in Nigeria, where he completed his O’Level education and Islamic/Arabic studies—an early blend of Western and religious education that shaped his disciplined outlook. His quest for deeper knowledge took him to London, where he studied International Business Management at Cavendish College. He later earned a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Patrick’s College, London.
These foundational experiences, from the bustling streets of Lagos to the academic corridors of the United Kingdom, sharpened his worldview and prepared him for the extraordinary path ahead.
Today, Olabisi Akanbi is widely celebrated as the President and Founder of the Labo Group of Companies—a dynamic conglomerate that has become a force in marketing, real estate, entertainment, and automobile industries.
Under his leadership, the Labo Group has grown into a frontline Integrated Marketing Communications company, providing innovative solutions for brands across Nigeria.
One of its prominent subsidiaries, La-Faith Property Limited, is an indigenous construction and real estate company playing a defining role in the rapidly expanding Lagos property market. La-Faith Property has contributed significantly to major building projects in Banana Island, Magodo GRA, Parkview Estate Ikoyi, OPIC Isheri, Alimosho, and other urban developments—earning admiration for its standards and reliability.
The business guru is also deeply invested in the entertainment industry. As the CEO of Labo Entertainment, he has nurtured musical talents like Dotman and DJ Tough, providing a platform for creativity, expression, and global recognition.
His entrepreneurial portfolio extends into the automobile sector through Labo Autos Limited, a luxury automobile company dealing in premium vehicles tailored to the Nigerian market.
Beyond business, Olabisi’s heart beats for humanity. He is the founder of Labo Foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to giving hope to the underprivileged. During the COVID-19 lockdown, the foundation became a lifeline for many Lagos residents by distributing relief materials and essential items at no cost.
This deep commitment to uplifting lives continues to define his philanthropic identity.
Olabisi’s story is not complete without acknowledging the sheer determination that marked his early years abroad. While studying in London, he worked under harsh winter conditions with a construction company to support himself. This experience not only strengthened his resolve but also sparked his interest in the construction and property industry.
Upon returning to Nigeria, he immersed himself in learning from established firms such as Cappa De Alberto, Elalan Construction, Lekki Homes, and others. These exposures broadened his technical understanding and fueled his dream to redefine the real estate landscape.
In 2004, he founded what is now the Labo Group of Companies, which was officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2008. Today, the brand has grown into one of Nigeria’s most respected names in real estate, entertainment, marketing, and luxury automobile
Through dedication, professionalism, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, La-Faith Property Ltd under Olabisi’s leadership has built a reputation anchored on integrity, reliability, and innovation. His deep-rooted collaboration with Lagos State’s housing authorities has further elevated the company’s standing, making it one of the most sought-after firms in the sector.
He is an honorary member of the Civil Construction Society of Nigeria, a registered member of the Lagos State Builders Guild, and is currently advancing his expertise as a building consultant with specialized interest in alternative building materials at AIU University.
