The Majority Leader of the Ogun State House of Assembly and esteemed member of the Ota Doyen Lions Club, Hon. Yusuf Sherif Abiodun (Ibeman), has once again demonstrated his unwavering dedication to service and leadership by pledging full support for KITIGBE 2026, the 3rd District Convention of Lions Clubs International, District 404B4.
This assurance came during a high-level courtesy visit by the District Governor, Lion Pharm. Debo Afolayan, who was warmly received by the lawmaker. Expressing his delight at the engagement, the District Governor praised Hon. Abiodun’s track record of purposeful leadership, particularly his people-centered initiatives that place strong emphasis on youth development and education.
Lion Afolayan revealed that his admiration for Ibeman was first sparked by the free shuttle buses initiative championed by the Majority Leader, describing it as a powerful testament to his passion for education and long-term investment in the future generation. He noted that such initiatives resonate deeply with the core values of Lions Clubs International and reflect his own leadership philosophy.
“No investment in education is ever wasted,” the District Governor affirmed, adding that “the future must be nurtured, guided, and protected.” He encouraged Hon. Abiodun to sustain the initiative and continue setting an example of visionary and compassionate leadership.
With preparations for KITIGBE 2026 gathering momentum, Lion Afolayan formally extended an official invitation to Hon. Abiodun—not only as a committed Lion and member of the Ota Doyen Lions Club, but also as a key representative of the people of Ota, the host community for the highly anticipated convention.
In his response, Hon. Yusuf Sherif Abiodun commended the District Governor for his inspiring leadership style and clear sense of purpose. He reaffirmed his readiness to play an active role in the convention, pledging to contribute meaningfully to its success and overall impact.
“I will be fully involved in the convention and will ensure that my contributions add real value to its success,” Ibeman assured.
A major highlight of the visit was the official decoration of Hon. Ibeman with the Lions pin by the District Governor—an emblematic gesture underscoring shared ideals of service, integrity, and community development.
Accompanying the District Governor were key members of the KITIGBE 2026 planning committee, including the Chairman, Lion Jonathan Orepo; the Co-Chairperson, Lion Joy Omogiate; the Secretary, Lion Asiwaju Oke; and other distinguished Lions leaders.
Set to draw Lions from across the district and beyond, KITIGBE 2026 promises to be a landmark gathering, further projecting Ota as a vibrant center for service, leadership, and transformative community engagement.
