The leadership of Iganmode Club, the foremost socio-cultural organization in ancient Ottaland, paid a “Thank You” visit to His Majesty, Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege, Ph.D., MCIPR, MPRII, FHEA (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode), Olofin Apesin Olode, Olota of the Paramount and Ancient Ottaland, on Monday, 24th February 2025, at Ipeti Royal Square, Enu Owa, Otta.
Led by its President, the Olootu of Otta, Chief Jide Ojuko, the club expressed profound gratitude to His Majesty for his unwavering support and invaluable contributions, particularly towards the grand success of its just concluded 50th Anniversary Celebration.
Chief Ojuko reaffirmed the club’s loyalty, patriotism, and commitment to the continued development of Otta, pledging that Iganmode Club would always seize every opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the town’s progress.
In response, His Majesty commended the club for its remarkable contributions and urged its leadership to build upon the achievements recorded thus far. He emphasized the need for sustained efforts to actualize the vision of a greater Otta.
Further demonstrating his unwavering support, His Majesty made a donation towards the club’s project as earlier declared at the grandfinale.
In a solemn moment, a minute of silence was observed in honour of the late Distinguished Senator Ayodeji Solomon Otegbola, the Babalaje of Otta and Asiwaju of Aworiland, whose contributions to Awori heritage and development remain indelible.
The Palace once again congratulates Iganmode Club on its successful Golden Jubilee Celebration and acknowledges its pioneering role in community building and development. May Eledumare continue to bless its members and grant them the strength to sustain the club’s legacy of excellence.
