MY GRATITUDE:
Yesterday’s events have truly overwhelmed me with gratitude. August 10th has always been a special day for me, a time to reflect on my life and thank my Creator for His unwavering presence. However, the way I was celebrated this year is unparalleled in my life’s journey. I’m deeply touched by the thoughtful gestures from my father, mentor, benefactor, and His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who initiated celebrations in my honor. I’m grateful, sir, and I believe Nigeria is on the right path under your leadership. Your policy interventions are already bearing fruit, and I’m confident that Nigerians will soon celebrate your commitment to their well-being.
I thank the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, the Senate Leader, Senator Micheal Opeyemi Bamidele, Principal Officers of both Chambers of the National Assembly and all members of National Assembly, Federal Republic of Nigeria. Your calls and messages were truly inspiring. May our bond and relationships continue to grow stronger.
My sincere appreciation to my leader and Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun and all members of the State Executive Council. I thank my father, Aremo Olusegun Osoba who called at the very first minute of this new year of mine with rains of prayer. I’m grateful sir. Your admonition will continue to ring in my hearing always. I thank all members of Ogun State House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon Elemide. I thank my brother and friend who continue to make our people proud in the Federal Executive Council, the Hon Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Hon Iziaq Kunle Salako. All members of Governor Advisory Council in Lagos State, I thank you all.
The traditional institution in Ogun State, from my father, the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle (Ashade Agunloye IV), the Alake of Egbaland Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadedo (Okukenu IV) and all royal fathers in Egbaland. I thank you all. I thank all Royal fathers in Ogun East, all traditional rullers of Akile Ijebu, the Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Torungbuwa II and all the traditional rulers of Remoland
I thank all my leaders in Ogun West Senatorial District, your dedication to a worthy cause with my humble self as your spring board has been highly motivating. Your convergence at Ilaro with party members to celebrate me is a humbling experience for me. I thank you all.
From my maternal homestead of Ogun Central (Kemta Iganra Mewa), who also put up a spectacular show to celebrate my birthday with their personal resources and time at Abeokuta, I’m immensely grateful.
The celebration of my birthday became a healthy competition across Ogun State with well wishers in Ogun East converging at Ijebu Igbo. What a day and birthday it has been. I appreciate all of you. That the occasion of my birthday became a purposeful unifier irrespective of boundaries and creed for our people in Ogun State is something I thank God for. With unity of purpose, the sky is the starting point for our greatness.
The celebration was not restricted to Ogun State or South West. I thank everyone who took time out to celebrate me in Abuja. Even in the Diasporas, it was celebration galore. It has been torrent of prayers all day.
To everyone who contributed to this extraordinary celebration, I’m deeply grateful. Whatever qualities or actions have earned me this outpouring of love and support, I vow to continue striving for excellence and serving humanity with humility and dedication. May God bless us all and continue to guide me in my endeavors.
Thank you, and may joy, peace, and celebration forever reign in our families and communities.
Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, FCA
