The Fusengbuwa ruling house of Ijebu Ode has rejected Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde (KWAM1), saying he is not a family member and ineligible for the Awujale throne.
The family confirmed that nomination forms closed before his claim and accused him of falsifying lineage documents. The Oduneye family also dismissed his assertion of belonging to the Jadiara sub-unit. Nominees for the vacant throne will be forwarded to kingmakers on December 15.
