HRH Oba Adio Maroof Alagbe (Elegushi of Egushi Ota Awori Kingdom) host Egushi Ota league of Imam and Alfa for the annual Ramadan lecture at Elegushi Ota palace.

Just days after opening the doors of his palace to the NASFAT Muslim Society of Nigeria, Egushi Ota Branch, for a spiritually enriching Ramadan lecture, His Royal Highness, Oba Adio Maroof Alagbe, the revered Elegushi of Egushi Ota Awori Kingdom, once again demonstrated his unwavering devotion to faith and community.
On Thursday, the palace courtyard was once more transformed into a sanctuary of reflection and enlightenment as Kabiyesi hosted the Egushi Ota League of Imams and Alfas for their Annual Ramadan Lecture at the historic Elegushi Ota Palace.
The gathering brought together respected Islamic scholars, clerics, community leaders, and faithful adherents in an atmosphere defined by solemnity, unity, and deep spiritual consciousness. Prayers were offered for peace, progress, and divine guidance for the kingdom and the nation at large. The lectures emphasized moral discipline, compassion, communal harmony, and the true essence of Ramadan — sacrifice, charity, and renewed commitment to righteousness.
By consecutively hosting both NASFAT and the League of Imams and Alfas within the same sacred week, Oba Maroof Alagbe sent a powerful message: leadership must be rooted not only in tradition but also in spiritual responsibility. His actions reflect a monarch deeply conscious of his role as both custodian of culture and promoter of religious harmony.
The Elegushi Ota Palace, under his reign, continues to serve not only as a symbol of royal authority but as a center for moral guidance, dialogue, and community development. Through such initiatives, Kabiyesi reinforces unity among religious bodies and strengthens the spiritual fabric of the Egushi Ota Awori Kingdom.
Indeed, this week’s events stand as a testament to a throne committed to faith, inclusiveness, and purposeful leadership — a reign where tradition and devotion walk hand in hand for the collective good of the people.
