The Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, came alive as it hosted its 6th Convocation Ceremony, marking another milestone in its pursuit of academic excellence and technological advancement. Under the leadership of the Rector, Dr. Abiodun Babatunde Oluseye, the event attracted eminent personalities from various sectors, including revered monarchs, government officials, academics, and industry leaders.
His Majesty, Professor
Adeyemi Obalanlege, Ph.D., MCIPR, MPRII, FHEA (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode), Olota of the Paramount and Ancient Ottaland, graced the occasion alongside other distinguished royal fathers and dignitaries to celebrate the institution’s achievements. His Majesty commended the management, particularly the Rector, for his visionary leadership and transformative strides within a short period since assuming the mantle of leadership at the institution.
Representing the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, was the Deputy Governor, H.E. Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, FNSE, who was accompanied by other top government functionaries. The state government reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to advancing tertiary education, skill acquisition, and infrastructural development within the institution.
Additionally, the wife of the Executive Governor of Ogun State was honoured at the convocation ceremony in recognition of her contributions to societal development.
Other notable attendees included: HRM Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, Olu of Ilaro & Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Chairman, Ogun State Council of Obas, HRM Oba Oluwatoyin Abdulazeez Akinde FCA, the Oloja Ekun of Igbesa, Aworiland, HRM Oba Engr. Nurudeen Osoja, Onikogbo of Ikogbo, Aworiland, HRM Oba Engr. Nosiru Tesilimi, Olodan Abuja Sule, Igbesa, Aworiland, other prominent monarchs, members of the Ogun State Executive Council, the Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Lawal fca, High Chief Olukemi Adeogun(Yeyegunwa of Otta, Aworiland), Baale Jamiu Komolafe (Baale Ipamesan Oke Otta, Aworiland), distinguished academics, captains of industry, and representatives of professional bodies.
Notably, a distinguished son of the land, Ajana Adebowale Anjorin, brought pride to the Kingdom by emerging as the Best Student in the HND category of the Estate Management department. He received three(3) awards in different categories. Thank you “Hero”. Oruko a ma ro omo
The convocation featured the conferment of honorary awards and the recognition of outstanding graduates who had excelled in their respective fields.
The 6th Convocation Ceremony of OGITECH was a resounding success, further cementing the institution’s reputation as a hub for technological innovation and academic excellence.
