KTO’s Grassroots Drive Gathers Momentum as PDP Stakeholders Align with Yayi, Tinubu Ahead of 2027

As the political atmosphere gradually builds towards the 2027 general elections, Hon. Kareem Tolani Oyindamola (KTO) is strengthening his grassroots political engagement through the KTO Grassroots Movement, with renewed consultations and mobilisation efforts in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ogun State APC governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
For KTO, the ongoing mobilisation represents more than a political exercise. It is an opportunity to deepen community engagement, expand participation in the political process and build a network of stakeholders united by a shared interest in Ogun State’s development and the future being projected by the APC leadership.
The movement recently recorded another development when prominent stakeholders, leaders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) reportedly defected to the APC, declaring their support for Senator Adeola and other party candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
The new entrants were formally received at the KTO Grassroots Movement Campaign Complex by Oyindamola, a Senior Special Assistant to the Ogun State Governor, alongside other APC leaders and stakeholders.
The development underscores the movement’s continuing efforts to broaden its political base, strengthen consultations and attract individuals willing to participate in its activities ahead of the forthcoming electoral cycle.

At the heart of KTO’s political engagement is an emphasis on grassroots participation and the belief that meaningful political organisation must maintain a connection with the people at the community level.
Through the KTO Grassroots Movement, Oyindamola has continued to engage political stakeholders and party members, using consultations and mobilisation activities to promote support for the APC and its candidates.
His approach places importance on bringing people together, building relationships across political and community structures, and encouraging participation in the party’s organisational activities.
As preparations for 2027 gather momentum, the movement is seeking to consolidate its presence by reaching more stakeholders and strengthening its network across Ado-Odo/Ota and other parts of Ogun State.
For supporters of the initiative, the significance of grassroots mobilisation lies not merely in the number of people attracted to a political platform, but also in the ability to sustain engagement, encourage participation and connect political aspirations with the development priorities of local communities.
KTO’s stated commitment to Ogun State’s development and his support for the APC’s political agenda have consequently become central themes in the movement’s ongoing consultations.
YAYI’S GOVERNORSHIP VISION AND THE OGUN WEST ASPIRATION
Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, is the APC’s governorship candidate for the 2027 Ogun State election. His aspiration has become a major focus of the KTO Grassroots Movement’s political mobilisation.
The movement is presenting Adeola’s ambition within the broader conversation about infrastructure, community development, economic opportunities and the future direction of Ogun State.
The reported decision of the new APC entrants to align with Yayi was attributed, in part, to their assessment of his infrastructural interventions across Ogun West and other parts of the state.
Their reported declaration of support adds another dimension to the consultations taking place across the state as political stakeholders assess candidates, consider alliances and position themselves ahead of the next general elections.
For KTO, supporting Yayi’s governorship aspiration is closely connected to the movement’s stated desire to see Ogun State’s development priorities receive sustained attention.
The mobilisation also reflects the importance the movement attaches to communicating the candidate’s vision, engaging stakeholders and encouraging discussions about the expectations of residents across the state’s three senatorial districts.
With Ogun West historically seeking greater representation at the highest level of the state government, Yayi’s candidacy has also become part of a wider political conversation about representation, continuity and the distribution of development opportunities across Ogun State.

Beyond the state governorship race, KTO’s mobilisation places President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the centre of its federal political engagement.
The movement has identified support for Tinubu and the APC as a key objective of its political activities, alongside its campaign for Yayi and other party candidates.
This alignment reflects the movement’s stated preference for a coordinated APC political structure spanning the federal and state levels.
Through grassroots consultations, the movement seeks to engage community stakeholders and party members around the political programmes and priorities associated with the APC leadership.
For Oyindamola and his associates, the task ahead involves sustaining these engagements, broadening participation and strengthening communication between the party’s political structures and the communities in which they operate.

Receiving the new entrants at the KTO Grassroots Movement Campaign Complex, Oyindamola welcomed their decision and assured them that the APC remained open to individuals genuinely interested in contributing to the party’s activities and success.
He emphasised fairness, inclusion and equal opportunities, assuring the new members that they would be integrated into the existing party structure and given a sense of belonging.
His message centred on the need to build a political family in which members could participate meaningfully, contribute their ideas and work together despite differences in their political backgrounds.
Oyindamola also underscored the importance of recognising commitment and encouraging genuine contributions to party affairs.
The assurance was significant in the context of political realignments, where the successful integration of new entrants often requires effective coordination, mutual respect and clear communication.
By emphasising inclusion, KTO sought to communicate that the movement’s expansion should be accompanied by an organisational culture that welcomes participation and encourages cooperation among stakeholders.
The objective, he stressed, is to build a stronger and more united political structure capable of pursuing the movement’s stated goals in 2027.
BEYOND NUMBERS: THE CHALLENGE OF SUSTAINED GRASSROOTS ENGAGEMENT
While the reported defection represents a fresh development for the movement, its broader political significance will depend on the ability to maintain engagement with members and translate mobilisation activities into sustained participation.
Political movements seeking to build lasting community relationships must contend with the expectations of residents, the need for credible communication and the demand for development that can be assessed through tangible outcomes.
For KTO, this places a continuing responsibility on the movement to sustain its consultations, coordinate its grassroots network and ensure that its engagement remains connected to the aspirations of the people it seeks to reach.
The emphasis on infrastructure, community development and inclusion provides a framework through which the movement can engage stakeholders on the issues they consider important to Ogun State’s future.
As the 2027 elections approach, the KTO Grassroots Movement is positioning itself around these priorities while maintaining its support for Tinubu, Yayi and other APC candidates.

The latest consultation marks another chapter in KTO’s ongoing political engagement and the movement’s efforts to strengthen its organisational base ahead of 2027.
Oyindamola’s emphasis on inclusion, stakeholder engagement and grassroots mobilisation places him among the political actors seeking to consolidate support for the APC in Ogun State.
His challenge, alongside other party stakeholders, will be to sustain the momentum of consultations, integrate new members and keep development issues central to the political conversation.
For the KTO Grassroots Movement, the stated objective is clear: to expand its network, strengthen support for President Tinubu and Senator Yayi, and contribute to the APC’s preparations for the 2027 general elections.
As political consultations continue, the movement’s progress will ultimately be measured not only by the number of new entrants it attracts, but also by the strength of its organisation, the consistency of its engagement and its ability to connect political promises with the development aspirations of Ogun State residents.
