Ado-Odo Ambassadors annual event—the Award of Cash Gifts to the Best WAEC and BECE Students across six schools in the Ado-Odo area and the maiden edition of Ado-Odo Ambassadors Community Games —were held on Wednesday, 19th February 2025.
About Us and Our Activities
We are a group of friends known as the Ado-Odo Ambassadors. Originally eight in number, we sadly lost one of our members after the fifth edition of our program, which was held in Alapoti.
Our journey began with the donation of lockers to the three secondary schools in Ado-Odo, followed by the provision of white marker boards.
In 2017, we launched the first edition of our program with a cash prize award for the Overall Best WASSCE Student among the three secondary schools in Ado-Odo, as well as an award for the Best BECE Student in each school.
After the third edition, we expanded the initiative to include schools outside Ado-Odo but within Political Area 4, covering:
- Alamuwa Grammar School
- Ado-Odo High School
- St. Stephen’s Comprehensive High School
- Alapoti Community High School
- Toyon High School
Recently, added YEMA GRAMMAR SCHOOL to beneficiary school, making six(6) schools in total.
To further motivate teachers who contribute to students’ academic excellence, we introduced an Award for Best Teachers, recognizing one teacher from the Senior School and one from the Junior School in each institution. This was implemented based on valuable feedback from the schools.
Additionally, we rotate the event across different schools each year, using the platform not only for awards but also to guide students on potential career paths.
Our Vision
The Ado-Odo Ambassadors are driven solely by service to humanity, not politics.
Our mission is to give back to the community that shaped us, in our own small way.
