As part of our commitment to strengthening Ogun State’s security and fostering socio-economic growth, we have called for the establishment of a Nigerian Air Force base to complement our security architecture. Additionally, we have proposed the establishment of a Nigerian Air Force school to provide quality education and instill strong moral values in our children.

During a recent meeting with the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, and a follow-up engagement with a delegation led by Air Vice Marshal Enebong Effiom, we reaffirmed our readiness to collaborate with the Nigerian Air Force (NAF). Given Ogun’s status as the industrial capital of the country, having an Air Force presence will further enhance security and create opportunities for our citizens to join the NAF.

To facilitate this initiative, we have offered one of our unused model schools as a temporary base, alongside plans to provide offices and accommodation for Air Force personnel at our airport. We are also working closely with the Nigerian Navy to establish a base in Ogun Waterside, with the groundbreaking set to take place in the coming weeks.

Our administration remains committed to making Ogun a hub for security, investment, and infrastructure development. We will continue to pursue partnerships that enhance our security framework while creating opportunities for economic and social advancement.
