In a joint effort to combat plastic pollution and foster grassroots environmental action, the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), today, teamed up with the Alternative Bank to flag off the “AltWalk 4 Zero Plastic” sensitisation campaign at Popo Oyabiyi Market, Yaba.
The event brought together market leaders, traders, and key players from the public and private sectors, all committed to building a cleaner, healthier Lagos through sustainable market practices.
It featured an advocacy walk within Tejuosho Market, with LAWMA officials and partners distributing reusable bags, educating traders on plastic waste reduction, and promoting the benefits of proper waste sorting and recycling.
