The Ogun State Office of the Public Complaints Commission, led by the Honorable Federal Commissioner, Hon. Morakinyo OgoOluwa Akinleye, alongside members of the Commission’s management team, paid an official visit to the Dangote Cement Factory, Ibese Plant, Yewa North, Ogun State today Wednesday 17th September, 2025.
The delegation was warmly received by the Plant Director, Mr. Ayyagari Subbaraidu, and other Top management of the Plant.
The visit was carried out to foster mutual understanding, explore areas of collaboration, and strengthen engagement between the Commission and Dangote Cement Company, Ibese.
The Honourable Commissioner, Hon. Morakinyo OgoOluwa Akinleye used the visit to elaborate on the constitutional mandate of the Public Complaints Commission as Nigeria’s f Ombudsman, saddled with the responsibility of promoting administrative and social justice, by addressing complaints from the public against both private and public organizations.
The Ogun State Ombudsman also highlighted key achievements recorded under his leadership within the spate of eleven months of assuming office, underscoring his commitment to transparency, accountability, and citizen focused service delivery.
Speaking on behalf of Dangote Cement Plant, Ibese, the Head of Social Performance, Mr. Ademola Ojolowo, provided a comprehensive overview of the company’s operations, corporate social responsibility efforts, and its role in national development.
Other supporting information were provided by the Heads of Transport, Safety Services and Human Resources Services.
While the Plant Director, pledged to collaborate with PCC in ensuring the Host Communities and the State at large will be impacted upon positively.
The Ogun State Ombudsman reiterated the importance of PCC as the defender of the citizens against oppression and administrative injustices up to fifty years in the country.
In his closing remarks, Hon. Akinleye encouraged the Dangote Group to continue upholding high standards of accountability and proactiveness in addressing both internal and external concerns.
The HFC emphasized the importance of corporate responsibility and urged the company to remain a model for best practices in industrial relations and stakeholder engagement which they have been doing.
The visit ended on a positive note, with both parties expressing a strong commitment to continuous dialogue and collaboration in the interest of public service and national development.
