The endorsement came during a widely attended YAYI Media Chat 2026, an event that brought together seasoned technocrats, policymakers, academics, and professionals from across Nigeria and the diaspora. The gathering underscored a shared conviction that Ogun West, after decades of marginal political representation, must now speak with one voice and present a credible, electable, and unifying candidate for the state’s highest office.
A major highlight of the event was a keynote lecture delivered by the Senate Leader of the Federal Republic, Opeyemi Michael Bamidele, CON, titled “The Power of Internal Coherence in Securing External Support: A Roadmap to Achieving Ogun West Governorship Ambition in 2027.” In his address, Senator Bamidele emphasized that unity of purpose, internal consensus, and disciplined political organization remain the strongest currencies in negotiating power and winning statewide support.
