Method
- Prepare the Cleaning Solution: Mix equal parts water and vinegar, add a tablespoon of lemon juice, and enough baking soda to form a paste.
- Apply the Mixture: Ensure the iron is cool, then apply the paste to the iron’s plate with a soft cloth, avoiding the steam holes.
- Wipe Off: Let sit for a few minutes, then wipe off with a damp cloth. Use a cotton swab for any residue in the steam holes.
- Steam Clean: Fill the iron’s reservoir with equal parts vinegar and water. Turn on the iron and steam until empty, then refill with clean water and steam again.
- Final Wipe: Ensure the iron is clean and free of any residue.
