The Ogun State Judiciary today commenced the 2025/2026 Legal Year with a special thanksgiving service held at Kobiti Mosque, Abeokuta, the State Capital.
His Majesty, Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode, Olofin Apesin Olode), Olota of the Ancient and Paramount Otta, Aworiland, congratulates the Ogun State Judiciary under the leadership of the Chief Judge, Hon. Justice M.A. Dipeolu, FICMC, FHNR, on the successful thanksgiving service marking the commencement of the 2025/2026 Legal Year.
This ceremony provides an opportunity to reflect on the sacred responsibility of the judiciary in preserving justice, promoting peace, and safeguarding the rights of citizens, and reminding us that the judiciary remains the last hope of the common man.
At the well-attended gathering, His Majesty was ably represented by the Odota of Otta, Aworiland, High Chief Oladele Bashir Adeniji, reaffirming the significance of the Legal Year to the noble legal profession and to society at large.
The Executive Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, was represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat.
His Majesty also congratulates His Excellency, Governor Dapo Abiodun, on securing the Federal Government’s approval for the establishment of a Court of Appeal in Ogun State
