The Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Chairman of the APC State Chairmen’s Forum, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, has hosted chairmen of the ruling party from across Nigeria at a strategic meeting in Lagos aimed at strengthening the party’s structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The gathering, which brought together APC chairmen from the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory for a three-day engagement, focused on enhancing internal cohesion, grassroots mobilisation and effective coordination among party leaders nationwide.
Addressing the delegates, Ojelabi described the meeting as a significant platform for deepening collaboration and reaffirming the progressive ideals upon which the APC was founded. He stressed that state chairmen remain the custodians of the party’s structures and must continue to promote unity, internal democracy and consensus-building across all levels of the party.
He further urged party leaders to strengthen their grassroots networks, nurture future leaders and sustain public confidence in the APC, noting that strong party institutions remain essential to electoral success and good governance. According to him, the meeting was not merely ceremonial but a strategic engagement designed to consolidate the party’s dominance across the country.
The forum also reiterated its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, expressing confidence that the administration’s reforms would continue to yield positive outcomes for Nigerians while positioning the APC for greater success in future elections.
During their visit to Lagos, the APC state chairmen undertook tours of key infrastructure projects, including the Lekki Free Zone and the Lagos Rail Mass Transit Blue Line, describing them as practical examples of visionary leadership, continuity in governance and sustainable economic development.
The strategic meeting is widely seen as part of the APC’s broader efforts to reinforce party unity, strengthen grassroots structures and enhance collaboration among state chapters as preparations intensify for the 2027 general elections.
