Prominent philanthropist and community leader, Hon. Kareem Tolani Oyindamola, popularly known as KTO, has been honoured with the prestigious Pacesetter Award by the Students’ Union Government (SUG) in recognition of his unwavering commitment to education, youth advancement, and societal development.
The award was presented during a colourful ceremony attended by students, academic staff, youth leaders, and distinguished guests, who gathered to celebrate individuals making remarkable impacts in society.
Presenting the award, the leadership of the Students’ Union Government described KTO as a shining example of selfless service, integrity, and compassion. According to the union, his consistent support for educational initiatives, youth empowerment programmes, and community development projects has positively transformed many lives and inspired countless young people.
The union stated that KTO represents the values and virtues every leader should possess, describing him as “a man of good deeds, exemplary character, and an inspiration to the younger generation.”
The students further commended his unwavering dedication to humanitarian causes and his passion for creating opportunities for young people to thrive. They urged him not to relent in his noble efforts but to continue touching lives and contributing meaningfully to the growth of society.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Kareem Tolani Oyindamola represented by his aide, expressed profound appreciation to the Students’ Union Government for finding him worthy of the recognition. He dedicated the award to every young person striving for a better future and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote education and youth development.
Addressing the students, he encouraged them to remain hopeful despite the nation’s current challenges, stressing that the future belongs to those who prepare themselves today.

“Never lose faith in the possibility of a better society and a greater Nigeria,” he said. “You are the leaders of tomorrow, and the future belongs to you. Continue to believe in yourselves, obey the law, pursue excellence, and never allow temporary challenges to discourage your dreams.”
