Seychelles’s opposition leader, Patrick Herminie, has won the country’s presidential race, defeating incumbent leader Wavel Ramkalawan in a run-off vote, according to the electoral commission.
Herminie won 52.7 per cent of the vote, while Ramkalawan took 47.3 per cent, official results announced early on Sunday showed.
Herminie’s victory gives his United Seychelles party full control of the government after it also reclaimed a majority in parliament during the first round of the general election last month.
This loss has been foretold by Nigerian prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele, about one year ago when he warned the president to be careful of a gang-up. He stated that there will be economic confusion in the country and that the government must re-strategise in order to prosper.
These were his words:
“Seychelles will have so many issues regarding the government. They will not want the current government to prosper. The government must restrategize because there will be a lot of economic confusion”
Just before the election, Primate Ayodele warned the president against re-strategising in his plans while stating that he is likely to lose the election if he doesn’t strategize well.
He stated that he will struggle to retain his seat as the president unless he strategises very well.
These were his words:
“The country will witness economic crisis, insecurity, protest, and confusion as the president will struggle to retain his seat. If the president strategises properly, that’s when he can have another term and their currency will be devalued. The opposition is ready to see that they frustrate the victory of the president, and the country might lose a very prominent figure. Some ethnic groups will feel disappointed with the policy in the selection of appointees. There will be changes in the military guard.”
In fulfillment of this prophecy, the incumbent president lost the election in a run-off.
